The Nurse and Midwifery organization of Ljubljana each year confers the award »Silver Sign of the Society« and the title »Honorary Member of the Society«.
The award »Silver Sign« is conferred for many years’ active work in the society, especially for active participation and cooperation in the preservation and development of cultural and historic heritage of nurses, midwives and health technicians; for promoting cultural, professional, educational, research, social and sport activities of its members, for developing contacts among the members and among societies and for strengthening the role and significance of the work performed by nurses, midwives and health technicians on the national and international levels. Four awards are conferred annually.
The title »Honorary Member of the Society« is bestowed to a person whose work has significantly contributed to successful work of the society. Two titles are conferred annually.Candidates for the award and the title can be nominated by the members, bodies and organs of the society.
