Zasavje branch

Since 1975 it has been operating as the Zasavje Branch of the Nurse and Midwifery Organisation of Ljubljana.

In 1964 the Organisation of Nurses was founded and had its head office in Zasavje. The credits can primarily be attributed to Joža Goltes, who was also its first president. Olga Pivk and Marjana Bajda also significantly contributed to the establishment of the organisation. In 1972, it joined the Nurse and Midwifery Organization of Ljubljana. Since 1975 it has been operating as the Zasavje Branch of the Nurse and Midwifery Organisation of Ljubljana.

At the time of its establishment the Zasavje Branch included all the nurses working in local healthcare institutions. Today it includes the nursing staff of the Zasavje region, namely: Hospital Trbovlje, Community Health Centres in Hrastnik, Trbovlje, and Zagorje, Retirement Homes in Hrastnik, Trbovlje and Izlake, the retired nurses, midwives and health technicians in the Zasavje region, and the employees of privately owned healthcare institutions.

The presidents of the Zasavje Branch were: Joža Goltes, Olga Pivk, Marjana Bajda, Anka Pucelj, Gojka Ikica, Marjana Bajda, Slavi Gala, Joža Roglič, Marija Filipič, Mateja Golouh Rotar, Zdenka Deželak, and Boža Pirkovič.
