In 1964 the Organisation of Nurses was founded and had its head office in Zasavje. The credits can primarily be attributed to Joža Goltes, who was also its first president. Olga Pivk and Marjana Bajda also significantly contributed to the establishment of the organisation. In 1972, it joined the Nurse and Midwifery Organization of Ljubljana. Since 1975 it has been operating as the Zasavje Branch of the Nurse and Midwifery Organisation of Ljubljana.
